Moritz grew up with folk music and, thanks to the musical influence of his father and older brother Patrick, started playing various instruments at a young age.
At 17, he discovered Billy Strings online and was captivated by the sound of the banjo from that moment on.
Since then, Moritz has played traditional and contemporary bluegrass banjo with Main Grass as well as Grass Fusion , influenced by his idols Earl Scruggs, Jim Mills, and Jason Davis.
